I don't own a cell phone (and never have), but if I broke down and bought one, it'd be because I could no longer resist having a Merzbow ringtone, and always taking a really long time to answer my phone.

that's uncanny indeed. as for your jams sir- they show that working in the media has helped keep you finding new sounds- i've rather stagnated in comparison...
@AlteGeist Ah, I will admit to carrying a smartphone about to take pictures, listen to music (and the radio), and get me away from traffic jams. Every few weeks or so someone calls me on it, but by the time I have remembered what to do, it's a missed call. I need this ringtone!
Well, I get some good music from work...but also a metric shit-ton of blind solicitations for awful music as well...it's like finding a needle in a shit-stack...I find lots more good music on TIMJ -- and just walking into Pittsburgh's mighty record stores (Sound Cat/Mind Cure/Jerry's/Attic, etc.)--than anywhere else...
