I love the way this song sounds,as @alisonsghost says,it works perfectly. This is one of my favorites,(oh who am I kidding they are all my favorites :). )
Thanks very much @alisonsghost . Interesting what you say about the sitar like sound. We suspect it probably is the same, as apparently the tape of it was sped up. But certainly, none of our references mention a real sitar being played. :-)
Love this one so much! Magical Mystery Tour is my second favorite Beatles album - even though it was never meant to be an album. It has all those great singles together.
@Beatlemaniacs Aside from Brian Jones and Mick Jagger making the credits, I’ve always loved the weird little blips at 26 and 28 seconds in — a low pitch guitar note followed by a high pitch clavioline note, both left channel. I’m pleased they weren’t cleaned up and dropped from the 2012 remaster. Don’t know about the 2009 remaster, I’ve never had the pleasure.
@roamin Wow....you have VERY good ears my friend!!!! I've tried listening hard to the link we wanted to Jam and I couldn't pick that up. I then listened to the link from TIMJ and yes I caught the "blips". :-)
@jenmaselli Great choice! Well my (Mike) favourite for most days of the week and depending on my mood would be Abbey Road, followed VERY closely by Revolver, Rubber Soul & Sgt Pepper. My sister Beatlemaniac Naty, just loves all of them!!!! :-)

Is that the thing that also sounds like a sitar? The song sounds cobbled together and yet works perfectly.Brilliant :-)
