you wonderful people - Street Rats was put together from old tapes and demos - the band wouldn't even pose together for the album sleeve, it was cut and pasted from individual pics. There are two other Lennon McCartney songs on the album, Drive My Car and a bluesy We Can Work it Out - probably the best song on the album. Beatlemaniacs - I love you guys. #LongLiveTheJams

Outstanding cover. Love the tempo on this one. My favorite cover of this tune was when the Grateful Dead played it at my one and only Dead show in Pittsburgh, PA in 1995. They opened the second set with this tune after the rain started pouring down during the intermission. Clever, and a silver lining while I got drenched.

I (Mike) haven't heard The Dead's version - I'll look it up. I saw The Dead once in about '70 at a UK Festival, when they were just going "Country" and I'm afraid at the time I didn't "get it!!!!" I now love the "Working Man" and "Am Beauty" albums!!! Age helps sometimes!!!!! :-)
