Iirc Tony Wilson considered them unsellable due to the name...
@thisismymistake @ssolo985 Yeah, the name might well have played a part in their relative obscurity, although I think it's great myself...
The band get mentioned in a Half Man Half Biscuit song "Running Order Squabble Fest" with the line "You're going home in a Crispy Ambulance".
@AndyWilkinson Wasn't there also a line that went 'you're going home in a cosmic ambience' somewhere too?
