I'd rather know more about music and less about tech any day! :)
Data analysis software for windows... Excel may be okay, they limit to 1,048,576 rows, but jams.csv has 1,576,502 rows, so you'd lose a third of the data. Libreoffice Calc has the same limits. I'm more of a programmer so I'd probably use something like R or Python Pandas, or even SQL.
@ndreasa Ok, that's brilliant, thanks so much! :-) I shall go away and investigate the programmes you mentioned. When I get some fresh data I shall be sure to let you know.
Ay up!! This is from the same R & R Hall of Fame gig as my Jam - You cheeky young, whipper-snapper you! ;-) Or you can re-interpret that as great minds!!
I just caught up with all the comments re. your research Paul - sounds (nerdily) fascinating! As a nerd, I'll look forward to the revised figures. But oh dear, bad luck with the original numbers though.
@mikelowe Hahaha, so it is! It's definitely a case of great minds methinks, hahaha.. ;-) And yes, my research is both nerdy and (to me) fascinating! I am currently interviewing people as part of the project if you fancy getting involved (that goes for anyone else reading this as well, for that matter) just asking about listening to music online. I could do with a few more interviewees if you're up for it! :-)
@Brownpants Yep, I'd be happy and interested to help Paul, no prob.
I'm away for a long weekend from this Friday. Is it OK to talk early next week and sort that coffee out as well? :-)

@mikelowe That all sounds absolutely fine Mike, give me a shout when you're around next week. :-)
