I saw a guy busking this a while back. Got to be the worst tune for busking ever.

"There's someone in my head, but it's not me" is possibly the best line in rock.

This is an album I should know for many reasons and still don't - thanks for the introduction with a great track, @Bukowski.

What a tune, and massive fan of your profile pic too! Trout mask replica! One of the best albums made!

Bukowski

@adamdarroll Thank you. 'Trout Mask Replica' is always a rewarding challenge.

@AlicejustMay 'Dark Side Of The Moon' is one of those I always come back to; much like 'Wish You Were Here'.

@Bukowski - good to know. Thanks.

@AlicejustMay The 'freaky' Floyd fans on this site may very well point you in the direction of the early 'weird' Floyd but I think that the trilogy which began with 'Dark Side...' and ended with 'Animals' is far and away the most interesting. 'The Wall'? Well; I've been listening to it on and off for thirty years and have yet to decide whether it is a work of genius or the biggest load of self indulgent pretentious pish ever recorded, I'll leave that one with you.

@Bukowski - simply the track 'The Wall' put me off Pink Floyd, and TIMJ isn't the place to go into why I didn't go near DSotM before. But a fellow fan in our house says you're spot on with your previous comment. Incidentally though, I do love Bowie's version of See Emily Play.

@Bukowski @AlicejustMay This 'freaky'' Floyd fan just now, on another music lovers site, delivered his top 10 songs by Pink Floyd. 1. Set the controls for the heart of the sun 2. Cirrus minor 3. The Nile song 4. Astronomy domine 5. Interstellar overdrive 6. If 7. Atom heart mother 8. Summer of '68 9. Wot's... uh, the deal 10. The gold it's in the...

@dutchzaphod Got to ask - got to - have you got just a teeny touch of OCD?

8 years, 3 months ago

dutchzaphod

@AlicejustMay He started it! :)

8 years, 3 months ago

dutchzaphod

@AlicejustMay Don't worry, it's an age old PF thing between @Bukowski and me. Just a bit of jolly banter. :)

8 years, 3 months ago

dutchzaphod

@AlicejustMay But, of course you're right. In fact I have three obsessions: making music, listening to music and listing music. But hey, there are worse things. :)

Bukowski

@dutchzaphod @AlicejustMay See what I mean by 'freaky' Floyd fans?

8 years, 3 months ago

AlicejustMay

@dutchzaphod Yes. @Bukowski And yes. BTW, just reading 'Post Office'.

8 years, 3 months ago

Bukowski

@AlicejustMay 'Post Office' is superb, if you like it put 'Mockingbird Wish Me Luck' on your to-read list.

8 years, 3 months ago

AlicejustMay

@Bukowski. Will do. Wasn't much impressed by Ham on Rye, but love the energy of PO. Have you read any Harry Crewes?

8 years, 3 months ago

Bukowski

@AlicejustMay I haven't, but I shall certainly investigate, thank you for the recommendation.
