Morning Paul. Skye was super smashing great. Some of the most breath taking scenery and wildlife I have ever seen! No internet, no phone, no music all week. It is amazing how good that felt!
@abigail.deeks Welcome back. Glad that you enjoyed your bucolic 'back to the land' break. I do admire people who live without concrete, tarmac, glass, electricity and carbon monoxide; personally I'm a bit too urban for all of that. Although I've been invited to spend a long weekend in Morwenstow (just out side Bude); it all sounds a bit rustic, I might take my own toilet rolls and a copy of 'Withnail & I'. Anyway, glad you are back safe and well. xx
@Bukowski I have camped just outside Bude before, it is beautiful. We are going to Newquay next spring to stay with my brother and his family. They moved there October 2012 and love it. My nephew's school has a little farm and is run by solar/wind power. I think you will be ok with your own toilet rolls and 'Withnail & I'. Need to get organised for kids back to school today, have left new shoes buying and haircuts til the last minute. I think town maybe a bit of a shock, even in these parts x x
@abigail.deeks I have a 'new batch' of first year students (see first half of 'Full Metal Jacket') for Induction Week; so it's mainly shepherding this week.
@abigail.deeks@Bukowski Can't beat Cornwall, the county (or should I say duchy) of my birth! As for Bude, Newquay... I am off to Padstow for a few days later this week, about half way between the two.
@obadiah99@abigail.deeks Perhaps I should bottle some carbon monoxide to take with me. A good snort of 'Urban' might get me through it. If anyone down there plays James Taylor I'll die.
love this. I can't remember another track that captures the anguish of an ageing music fan as wittily and poignantly as this does. And such a fantastic tune to boot!
@Bukowski I wish you well with your new flock. I hope they have been behaving themselves. As for Cornwall; fresh air and some James Taylor will do you the world of good!

James Murphy's record collection looks a lot like mine.
