don't know if you're in the UK, @Bukowski, but there was an absolutely fascinating BBC4 documentary on recently about the making of LA Woman. Highly recommended!

@Niels_Footman I am in the UK (Wolverhampton) and yes, the LA Woman documentary was absolutely fascinating. The Doors for me encapsulates Blake, Huxley, Rimbaud and Sade; what's not to like?

@Bukowski, I'm a bit more ambivalent about them than you. I loved them as a crusty teen, but found them harder to take as I got older. I have to say, though, hearing LA Woman again and the stories behind the songs was an absolute joy.
