Louie Louie by The Kingsmen

Bukowski’s jam on 25 Jun ’12 and then once after that (See all)

“One of the all-time great 'one off' singles (including the notorious mistake) whose influence is to be found in The Who - 'Quadrophenia'; "you should here our version of 'Louie Louie'" (Ian Curtis) to West Coast PUNK! rockers the Ramones and Jack White. Some wonderful vintage footage here too. Have a great weekend folks.”

I presume that this has been jammed hundreds of times before on TIMJ. TIMJ has a lovely little feature which shows how many times a jam has been jammed and who the jammers were, after you have jammed the song. I love that. The refugee camps that we will go to next week don't have that (yet!). As to the song. This is one of those songs with the most cover versions. Here is more information than most of us need to know about Louie Louie - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louie_Louie #GoDownJamming #UntilTheWheelsFallOff   9
