I vividly remember the first time I heard Spiderland. I was with friends and like everybody else present, I was just awestruck throughout. The outro to "Good Morning, Captain", particularly coming after forty minutes of subtle guitar (de)constructions and moody spoken-word, was so intense that when it finished I found I was actually shaking.
