“On Friday night, I was there. Right down near the front, at the first gig I have ever properly been to. Adhering to the dress code (I rented a suit), for nearly two straight hours I sang and shouted and danced and had the time of my life. This, though; this moment was transcendental. Yelling out the final line of "Wake Up" with the last of my remaining strength, together with several thousand other people. Nothing else so far in my life has compared and nothing else ever likely will compare. It was magical. Absolutely magical.”
