What do you think @kemiladashdot ?
@CaptainJam I'm generalising & avoiding any definitive statements, but I'd struggle to have it in a top 500 and even in a TH's top 20. To me it doesn't contain the uniqueness, or 's timeliness, or rhythm, beat, melody, lyrics to be a definitive moment in music that says "Best". & is lost in a sea of good (but not great) Unlike Physco K./ Burning Down../ Building on Fire which are up there with best that the Stones, Beatles or pop music has to offer.
Just my opinion, but you did ask.....
I appreciate it's all subjective & you are the Captain, it is good there's no doubt. I would say though out of the hundreds of thousands of songs recorded this is not the best of anything
@CaptainJam This is the best song ever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA5HErVE9oI
this is the tom tom club peeking through
It seems most people on TIMJ agree.
He's a bit heavy that guy banging on up above. I wouldn't have him around anymore. What a downer!
Oops! It's me.
It would be hard for me to pick the best Talking Heads song, let alone the best song of anyone. I like Crosseyed and Painless a lot. And don't call me Shirley. :-)
@kemiladashdot Ha ha, you're still welcome round ere anytime! I appreciate you're comments, even if i dont agree with them. Thats what makes it interesting. If we all had the same opinions, and all liked the same stuff what would be the point of TIMJ? Mystery Train's a good 'un, but is it better than this one? Its a matter of opinion...
@hsmagnet tom tom club are great too
@kzone8 Crosseyed and Painless, Great tune!
@stumbelina @florencevibert Glad you liked it
Best is always going to be subjective and whilst I like this I would have to agree with @kemiladashdot
