Thank you! I hadn't heard about the new mixtape yet. I'm listening to the first track now and I'm already loving it. THIS is what I'm talking about. Straight up great rap - not rap so watered down by pop elements that it hardly even qualifies as hip-hop anymore. Don't get me wrong, I dig some of the pop rap, too, but B.o.B would win over a lot of new fans if he became as well known for this rather than his mainstream hits. I have friends who roll their eyes when I try to tell them he's good.
Just listened finished. Listened to the whole thing and I'm happy to say not one of the songs was overly pop-ified and the whole thing is great. Gonna be sharing it with a bunch of friends. Now to check out the interview. Thanks again.
Good interview. I somehow completely missed 'Underground Luxery' when it came out last year and didn't know until he kept saying this next album is going to be his 4th. Oops. I probably read about it in a newsletter at some point and forgot about it, but who knows. Anyway, gotta check it out and I'm looking forward to the new album.
@shiningsun2k I think if he sticks to this kind of rap instead of the pop, he be up there with you know all those rappers, he's kinda of underrated. the pop thing it's fun to listen to once in a while,I can't wait for his next album. B.o.B is really lyrical which is really good, I'm listening now and love this mixtape. Your friends don't know what their missing, they should give him a try, but yeah people only like his mainstream songs like Airplanes and Magic etc.
Yeah, he's definitely a great lyricist. The friends who roll their eyes are the ones who heard "Airplanes" and "Magic" and assume that's all he does. They think he's just a pop rapper and don't wanna give him a chance. They'll come around when they hear this mixtape though. :)

Hell yes. Hadn't heard this one before and absolutely love it. Perfect for city nights.

I might even end up jamming this myself sometime in the future.
