Wow, 1965. I'm proud of my fellow countrymen and women for creating the atmosphere in that room. And though I'm doubtful whether they all really understood what the deeper meaning of the song was, I'm sure a good time was had by all. (and the bass player was brilliant in reading Nina's mind)
As an expatriate american who's much older than she'd like to admit to here I'm w/dutchzaphod:so proud o'the live response she got though most was politically-naïve&basically lighthearted but it contrasts nicely to experiences Nina had in the (other) states at that period and which ultimately contributed to make her a fellow in exile. She is superbly entertaining here - yet the message is there for all who care to understand it. Not the lesser of her talents :-)
