







The year got going with “Dog Food” by Wes Dakus and the Rebels, and there was more to come; 5 jams in all. DNAtkinson did some crate-digging too, and found “Meet Me in Church” by Joe Tex. All things must end; DNAtkinson closed it out with “Simply Beautiful” by Al Green.

DNAtkinson’s first jam of 2014 was “Being Boring” by Pet Shop Boys, and 13 more jams followed. The year’s recurring themes? rhythm and blues, dubstep, and soul. DNAtkinson did some crate-digging too, and found “Non Consumiamo Marx” by Luigi Nono. People really liked “Forgetting You” by James Carr. DNAtkinson posted their 50th jam in September!

The year got going with “Time Out” by Stanley Myers, and the jams kept coming; 17 in total. Lots of electronic, soul, and funk. They were the first, and only, to post “Dreaming” by The Cosmic Rays with Sun Ra & Arkestra. “Just Kissed My Baby” by The Meters got a lot of love. 2013 drew to a close with “Egypt Strut” by Salah Ragab and the Cairo Jazz Band.

In February, DNAtkinson joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Get In There” by Jason Adasiewicz. Nice. There was a lot of jazz, dub, and electronic. In December, DNAtkinson posted their 20th jam. DNAtkinson’s 2012 came to a close with “Happy Chrismis” by Nazir Ali feat. Nahid Akhtar & Mehnaz.
