@DavidAnderson—I absolutely love what Ridley Scott has done with Phil K. Dick’s novel. Phil liked it,too, as far as I know. Not too many films have ever reached this level. This scene is so iconic it has its own wikipedia page: (http://bit.ly/1Sb6ny3), and a huuge part of it all is Vangelis’s music—that album was my first soundtrack album ever, so I have a special place for it. Thanks David. For me, a pure zen moment, and I mean it.
@homosporocarpus thanks Kuba, I share your love of the soundtrack, and of course the film. I'm a bit of a geek where Ridley Scott is concerned and especially Blade Runner....a constant fascination. There are 5 versions of the film and all are "must see". And thanks for the link.
@ArdPad I am with you all the way, and you will know Rutger improvised most of it after reading the script the night before filming took place. Wonderful stuff.
I love this. Two guys I worked with played the whole of the movie dialogue every Friday. I'm very familiar with it. Luckily I loved the film too. This part is very moving I think. Thanks for sharing : )

Rutger Hauer was amazing in this movie...and this part of it had such passion, sadness and even in this dark grimy world...beauty....
Bukowski
One of only three Sci-Fi films I like. Great choice.

…and Joe Satriani’s ‘Tears in the Rain’(youtu.be/amT_qZtGn7Y)—the clue is in the title—was inspired by it.
