This has been my 2nd or 3rd choice for a jam for ages so glad you jammed it. I love the 'Dave Gilmour' guitar solo on 5 minutes do you think he listened to a bit of Pink Floyd as a lad. GREAT JAM!
@adamlack I actually listened to The Raven... a few days ago for the first time in months, so listening to this track was like discovering it for the first time all over again. It's very hypnotic and can easily put its listeners under a spell.
@abner07: I'm glad you think that as well! The Floyd influence is in the solo as well as the finger picking bit before that (sounds a lot like "Hey You" to me). There are 70s prog influences all over the album, but it's done in such a way that Wilson is paying tribute to those artists while adding something new to the mix. It may sound like Floyd and King Crimson in parts, but the album is definitely Wilson's own work as a whole.
