This tune was used in the 1973 film, American Graffiti , starring: Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, & Paul Le Mat . See You In September was covered later in the 1960's by The Happenings, but this version is probably the one which is best remembered by "oldie" fans.
The Tempos performed See You In September on Dick Clark's American Bandstand on Monday- October 12, 1959. The song first hit the charts on June 29, 1959, stayed there for 14 weeks, & peaked at #23.
