you can jam this every day as far as i'm concerned...this was so much fun live when i saw them in the 80's...Ray Davies teased us all night with random 'Daaay-OOO!' to which the crowd would respond...leaving Reunion Arena after the concert people among us masses would belt out that call and everyone would respond...it was really cool...try it at the next concert you are leaving...it's a blast and works every time
Named my daughter after this song. She quite rightly pointed out that 'Lola' seems to be a common transvestite/prostitute name, so why would I do that? She brightened when I told her about Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets. Anyway, this song makes me feel like I'm in 60s Soho. I wasn't around then, but I can imagine.
@loboska yeah, about that common prostitute name... some time ago I was waiting for my friend I was to meet that day and I started to walk to and fro. There was some elderly man around, he looked like a regular elderly man, like a quite nice person. BUT, suddenly, he approached me and asked: "excuse me, are you Lola?" I looked at him with confusion and was like... "whaaat?" He then looked pretty embarrassed, lol. :D I felt weird, I was just wearing jeans and a red coat. :D
I'm with @Shaka; you can jam this every day. One of my all time favorites. Loved it since I was a kid, although my real introduction to it was Weird Al's classic take on it, "Yoda": http://youtu.be/FOPsfaQRcbk. But man, what a performance. Makes me wish I could have seen them back then.
