One of the pivotal albums of my life - I remember when I first heard it, and had never heard anything like it before. Completely opened my eyes to what music had to offer.
This was a great album when it came out - and still is. I used to think that perhaps this version was a bit too glossy compared to the original single version, but I was just being a pretentious purist. Jools Holland's solo is fantastic.
Well Ker, thought I'd better drop by & see what all YOUR fuss is about! I've no history with The Definite Article whatsoever. One of those bands I've known about, but never looked into. On the strength of this track alone, perhaps I should be reviewing that particular non-strategy! It is indeed more than a piano solo...but what a piano solo!! You kindly trusted me on one Jam, so the least I can do, is return the compliment. Lookin' forward to more of your picks. Off for some 'The' homework. :-D
