@Axol Willie Dixon sued Led Zeppelin as the song Whole Lotta Love was credited to J. Page when it was written by Willie Dixon and originally sung by Muddy, The Faces also recorede a version of it called "Need Your Lovin'" but they credited it to Dixon.
After lawyers got involved Led Zep settled out of court and future copies of the song where then credited to Plant, Page & Willie Dixon, although quite why Robert Plant was added remains a mystery!!
@Axol Im guessing Ive now upset every Led Zeppelin fan on timj but its true....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whole_Lotta_Love Scroll down to Controversy, or read the whole page as its quite interesting.
ps. having re read the page it seems that The Faces version never credited Dixon either but they were never sued, perhaps Zep had more money ;)
@Sid_Bonkers thanks for the info Sid. The Stones were at it too. On Get yer Ya yas out, Love in Vain is credited to Traditional/Jagger/Richards. RJ must have arisen from his grave to haunt them cause they changed that later.
