@tpdorsey you know, i recently got that double disk they put out with Electric and the unreleased Peace album. Peace was cool, but when you listen to it next to Electric and how many of the songs ended up sounding... well lets just say I appreciated that tight, stripped down feel of Electric even more! An i am with you, does not sound like a 25 year old record at all
@tpdorsey that was quite a rick rubin list! and i definitely would give electric a spot as one of the albums that hold up the best! i would have to give a few more shout outs to the eighties though - self titled danzig, reign in blood and license to ill

Favourite tune from my favourite Cult album. Great choice!

Rick Rubin. Genius. Also the soundtrack to some very good memories from college.

Just listened through the entire album, which holds up well. Doesn't sound 25 years old.

@MariaElena Interesting observation. Here's Rubin's production credits from the '80s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Rubin_production_discography#1980s). Some stone cold classics, but could Electric end up being the least dated sounding?
