







The year got going with “Love Hangover” by Horace Andy. 4 more jams followed it! They were the first, and only, to post “Foliba (feat. Sékou Kanté)” by Super Rail Band of the Buffet Hotel de la Gare, Bamako. “Turn on Your Love Light” by Bobby "Blue" Bland got a lot of love. MattPoacher’s final jam was none other than “I Would Be In Love (Anyway)” by Frank Sinatra.

MattPoacher posted a rare gem: “Free Up Black Man” by Cedric Im Brooks & The Light Of Saba. People really liked “Juice (Know The Ledge) - Main Mix” by Eric B. & Rakim. MattPoacher reached 75 jams in September. “Just Memories” by Eddie Kendricks closed out the year.

“Yegelle Tezeta” by Mulatu Astatke kicked off MattPoacher’s 2012, and there was more to come; 42 jams in all. The year’s recurring themes? hip hop, rap, and jazz. They were the first, and only, to post “Eyes and Smiles” by Bark Psychosis. MattPoacher was first to pick “Juice (Know The Ledge)” by Eric B. & Rakim, in January — 12 others followed suit! MattPoacher passed 20 jams in May. 2012 drew to a close with “First Front Porch Brooklyn” by Andrew Weathers Ensemble.
