Cross-themed #NeoClassicalWeek and #MarcAlmondExtravaganza jam: Sometime in the mid-1980s Marc and the Willing Sinners switched from synths to acoustic instruments including all kinds of classical and offbeat instruments. The period was a creative peak but a commercial disappointment. For me it was the first introduction to the possibility of creating wildly imaginative pieces with "non-rock" instruments.
