Midnight Train To Georgia by Gladys Knight & The Pips

Ohow’s jam on 9 Jan ’15 and then once after that (See all)

“For my 100th jam, I selected one of my favorite songs over the last 40 years. My first 8-track tape for my MGB in the early 70s was Gladys Knight and the Pips and I loved this song ever since. What I think really makes this song is the back up singing of the Pips. Although their dance moves are cheesy by today's standards, I still like it. "L.A. proved too much for the man (Too much for the man, he couldn't make it) So he's leaving a life he's come to know, ooh"”

Inspired by watching the 30 Rock episode with Gladys Knight ("did you know they replace the Pips every five years like Menudo?")   1

One of my work colleagues actually claimed they'd never heard this song before it came on work's radio...   5
