Mazzy Star - California. I took a road trip in late 2013, and was considering this song for a themed mix CD of songs about the trip shortly afterward. There just wasn't enough songs to put something solid together.
Haunting, as usual. Hope's voice always gets me, glad she's back.

Switching things up, now. At #25 on our countdown, we have the return of Mazzy Star! Quite honestly, picking a track off of this that wasn't Common Burn (due to that originally being released in 2011) was really hard because this is just such a phenomenal album. But California is achingly beautiful and thoroughly deserves to be on here, anyway! #bestof2013
