I think Pierrette would be singing this now. She and I had our disagreements...
But we both loved Rick. He was a good husband to her, and like a brother to me. This song is sad, but happy also.
And the lady who sings it... No one has sung this song better, ever.
So, for all of us... Enjoy!
@layla Thanks. I am glad you liked it.
I am slowly returning to normal. It was the sudden-ness of the thing. The being told he was going in to chemo for 2 yrs, and had a 53% or better chance of recovery. I looked at the R&D and said to myself "In 2 yrs time, we'll have even better drugs."

Yes, I agree, no one has ever sung it better!
Her "smoky" voice is a perfect choice for this song! (She is a woman with many voices in her repertoire...)
And she just grabbed the mike and sang it in one take, without rehearsals!
This is her own comment, from SoundCloud:
"Totally random test I did a while back trying to see if I could record with a Snowball mic at school (listen close and you'll hear the school bell).
Really off on my timing but did it in one take".
SWEET SUFFERING CATS, SHE MUST BE KIDDING US !!!
@Engztrom Sweet suffering cats! The woman does have faults....
BUT: She CAN sing. And Dance! And Act.
And she also did great with this song (Noella thought it was a professional singer, and said I was nuts when I told her who. "What the little Hawaiian history teacher sang this? You're kidding." ) Drat. I was gonna jam that next week.

@Engztrom You see, my mum and aunts sang that song all the time, and it is from Noella's "era". So "Dream a little Dream" was well know to us. How Amy Burvall did such a good job with it... Is amazing.
I know! I meant that it is amazing she could find enough strength to sing her mother's favorite song so perfectly, with a steady voice, only one week (to the hour) after...
And it is such a beautiful song, a wonderful tribute to her mother!
@Engztrom Who was a princess in her own right. So, we are faced with a Princess grandma, a Princess Mum, a Princess Princess, and... the 4th Generation! Scared, yet?

Well, we lost another person, that most of us who grew up in the 1960's and 1970's.... Simply loved: Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker on the CBS sitcom All in the Family). Goodbye Jean, and thank you for everything. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/all-in-the-family-jean-stapleton-dies-561468 Here was the theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyS-jehNex8

@layla I hope you enjoy Mrs. B's music, and also the links for jean Stapleton. That version of the theme has all the lyrics!

Yes, really amazing! Especially since it was recorded only one week after... (you know what!)

@Engztrom Error. Dream a dream was recorded one week after.... Our enemy's victory.
