btw, you need to repeat the cheerleading vid to make it last the toon length.
Here's a link to the full single, for purists, https://youtu.be/x_X9YqWu4pU
For any Americans who might be slightly offended by the Nice, here's a non controversial song about America https://youtu.be/QYRM3BN6Mkg :)
@ErnieBilko thanks on both counts mate, especially as it took me some time to find footage of sorta traditional cheerleading. You should see the sort of acrobatics they get up to nowadays mate! Yoof eh? :)
@lynn200 Thanks. If you say you saw them babe, then that's good enough for me. I'm quite envious as they're one of the too many bands I wished I'd seen live & haven't. :)
Ok, I'm laughing at "good 'ol USA cheerleading," @Phyl. I was a cheerleader in junior high school (1986 - 1987), and we sure didn't do stuff like this.
Funny I played this a few days ago..still sounds good..saw the reunion show..really enjoyed it until it turned into the Keith Emerson show.bit disrespectful to Lee and Brian I thought.
Fookin 'el, mate. Firstly, are you now sponsored by St Tesco...a 'fourfor'!! Let me start with those girlies. I had to watch that 27 (I counted) times, just to ensure you were maintaining high quality output. Though traumatized, I may give it another wee sneakypeaky. The Emersonites...hard to think of that as 1968. Staggering stuff...twice. Then for desserts, those fine Yes chaps...another proper stonker. You give value for money big boy...not the first time you've been told that, I'd wager...
@gogokrista. Thanks K. I looked at quite a lot of cheerleading stuff , purely for research you understand, & it's surprising how few use pom poms and pleated skirts nowadays! It is supposed to be in tribute to Mr Herkimer after all. Had to settle for the Dallas crew just coz of the pom poms in the end, & their rhythm kinda matched. :)
@21schizoid. Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed the Dallas girls, cunning stunts eh? :) Sympatico again friend, I had exactly the same thought about the year when I watched it! I'm not a fan of 'straight' cover songs, but when a band like Yes do their thing on the old S&G; classic, well that's another matter. Thanks for the praise, high indeed coming from a master! It's nice to be appreciated. :)
@21schizoid. Top stuff ma man! Lovely hearing that Caravan track, I had no idea, so thanks. There's also a Metallica concert titled the same & a sort of thrash/punk album by the Cows, No links coz I don't like either. However, apart from the somewhat obvious spoonerism, it actually brings the 70-80's womens collective theatre group to my mind. :)

@lawrence35523. Know what you mean mate. Kieth was obviously destined for more grandiose things. :)

Thanks @lawrence35523. I had heard the S&G; version before Yes's, but sweet as the original is, I prefer the Yes one. :)

Forever a pleasure old chap. Anything that causes a fleeting moment of libidinous pleasure, can never be a bad thing in my jotter... ;-D
