LOL, I was just about to post this as my new jam too. The Beach Boys made so many excellent songs, but this is probably my favorite. What a stunning, perfect composition. The one you posted is actually the version from their 1971 "Surf's Up" LP with Carl singing the first portion, but since this is the version I originally fell in love with, I'll take it.
@ryangibbs Yeah, I couldn't find a copy of The Smile Sessions version that would embed onto TIMJ. It's possible I just didn't look hard enough. It is a great song either way, though. Incidentally, I love how we've both gotten hooked on The Beach Boys at more-or-less exactly the same time.
Like @kompani101 not huge on the BB but huge on some songs (I don't jnow why this got Cotton Fields God Only Knows and Surfin' USA back on all my playlists as they are so beyond the fringe for me and so differnet between them (some to others more than to others). Big Thanks!

One of the greatest albums ever made, and then lost, and then found.

Whilst I'm not a great fan of the 'sound' of the Beach Boys I raise my cap at the fantastic production and song writing. Nice jam.

When I first heard this, I always thought how sophisticated it sounded. Almost classical in structure.

I need to listen to the entire "Smile Sessions". I love Pet Sounds and just from this tune I can tell it must be in the same brilliant category.

it's highly likely that the Beach Boys are the band I could listen to the most and never tire of.
