@marthadear it sounds like your english teacher had great taste. I lived in France for a couple of years and my english teacher had us listen to Oasis "Wonderwall" ... an awful song that doesn't really make that much sense even though it's in my primary language.

my favorite english teacher used this song amongst others for listening comprehension exercise. i’m still thankful he introduced us to this classic.
