@BertrandRustles Yeah its a very decent album recorded live at Levon Helm's studio in Woodstock in front of a audience. The second disc is full of country music of the traditional kind as well as folk and Americana .The first disc has more of a rock, blues and funk sound well worth a listen to. They definitely went out with a bang with this album shame they are no longer together. Though the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Rich Robinson are keeping the bands legacy going at their own solo shows.

@hsmagnet Me too but their solo careers have enough Crowes music in them to keep me going until they reform hopefully one day.

@BladeRunner Yeah its a step away from their traditional sound like most of that album is .Glad you enjoyed it 😀

@paulgdaly It's definitely different from them but some of their other album tracks are experimental and a departure from the traditional rock sound as well. I always like bands that push boundaries and try new stuff bit like The Stones really when you think how they evolved.

@SolmaskI think that's right. And no matter how the stretched out the Stones (and the Crowes) have stayed grounded in roots music, never more than two steps from the blues and country. Which makes them keepers of the flame more than innovators (see the Velvets or The Beatles).
