@iivix ...this is what i mean by 'as minimal as possible', btw. As stated, there's no adjustments made to the song, this is the pure unadulterated sound, (i should know, i have one of these fellas as a familiar) with a hint of drums. Absolutely gorgeous, in my humble and frequently misguided opinion...

Merabet needs a canary. My one sings incessantly and sporadically breaks into bars of the Carmina Burana.

Is birdcore a genre? Should be.

Also, was hoping that it would be a free jazz style live improv drummer over a real bird, rather than loops, but it still rocks.

There's a surprisingly large amount of birdsong on youtube, who knew?

@GeorgeSandison ...awesome, birds rock. Mostly i've been feeding my goldfinch on dubstep, heavy metal (loves the guitars), anything with a violin, female sopranos, etc, etc. To be honest, he'll listen to everything. They're completely nuts, by the way: http://youtu.be/XAWv4klnSMo

@iivix ...hmmmm. Well, we do duet together, he sings, me on the flute, or just whistling. Gonna record it one day (he's still learning, bless), interested...?

...next week we're dedicating the whole week to just one bird. Can we guess which one...?

I love this. Are there more of these?

Well Batman (a red factor canary) loves anything electronica, The The, and other beat heavy things. The first thing that ever got him singing (after I got him) was Doctor Who as well. I like my bird, it gets me.

Btw, if that's your finch in the video that's very cool. I love the way he tries to get a grip on the scalp but just can't do it...

ZenPyramid

@flexesque ...only one that's come up so far, but i've been looking for goldfinch stuff primarily, this was a bonus. However, it's not hard if you have knowledge of musictech and empathy with birdsong i would have thought, to come up with something similar. And why stop at birds? i see a niche in the market. Quick! Exploit it first before we're knee high in animal jam, and nobody cares any more...

@GeorgeSandison ...not my finch that one, no, but they have similar characteristics, though mine's not so aggressive. Here's a video of my cock (does that joke ever get old?) i shot as a test a few weeks ago, and one of the children upped to utube. He's just had a bath, hence the slightly bedraggled look. The cages are just toys, he lives in a tree in the living room. Have to admit, i do spoil him rotten: http://youtu.be/Le3lqiSSAmc

@ndreasa ...weird, i've jammed a track, it's showing on the playlist, but on my profile i've got my Eternal jam showing. bugbugbug, etc...? Also, i can't re-Jam a jam without losing my background image, it always replaces it with the previous hosts image, certainly if they've used one of those 'plays with the picture, and sticks it in the background' type options... laters, zp.

@ndreasa ...and it's saying it's been more than a week, blah blah blah, which it hasn't. Anyways, toodle pip...!

Probably the only way to clear the bug will be to re-Jam or new Jam?
