_kai’s 2013 started strong with “A Little Respect” by Erasure, and there was more to come; 26 jams in all. The year’s recurring themes? 80s, pop, and electronic. _kai posted a rare gem: “Autumn Leaves” by Frank Sinatra. “French Disko” by Stereolab got a lot of love. _kai passed 50 jams in March. 2013 drew to a close with “The Sun Always Shines On TV (Live)” by a-ha.

In January, _kai joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Velouria” by Pixies. Nice. The year’s recurring themes? Michael Nyman, piano, and soundtracks. _kai found a rare one: “Get Ur Freak On [live]” by Missy Elliott. “Way Down in the Hole” by Tom Waits & the Kronos Quartet got a lot of love. _kai was the first person on This Is My Jam to post “Fight The Power” by Public Enemy — before 83 others! _kai posted their 20th jam in April! “The Burning” by Michael Nyman closed out the year.
