great to hear the demo. i remember before it came out there was so much hype associated with it, it seemed the NME had them on every cover and it landed in Australia too while I was at uni. I have a copy on vinyl, picture disc with ruler and pencil and there was a copy with a t-shirt too! so much merch and hype. kind spoiled it a bit
Really great song. The perfection of the trope "But england's as happy as england can be" not only defines the stylistic and emotional edge of the content by it's matter-of-factness, it says everything about everything that matters in the song. Beautifully performed. Never heard it before today. This is why I will miss TIMJ.
