This is sort of just one of those all around perfect albums. It's super fucking dancey, catchy, funky, unique and overall fun as hell to listen to. This is definitely my favorite track off of it.
@SunsetBlood is one of the "best" albums of 2013, yet will no doubt be overlooked on any lists. I'll call it a sleeper album as this punk (Starcadian) will surely gain a deserved larger audience in time. He makes "ear movies" and 'Chinatown' is the second instalment & also happens to be my fav track from the album. Completely stuck in my head. If you told me this was a Telefuture release, I would have totally believed you.
Musically: a simulacrum. Visually - this is 1974 mixed with 1982 times two, with all the noir of both the Jack Nicholson and Harrison Ford characters. A valiant effort for an indy artist, to be sure!
