@alisonsghost an instrumental version was used for House's opening titles sequence. Hugh Laurie is one of my favourite actors/singers/writers. Look for him in the Kate Bush 'Experiment 4' video!
@lucathequietone There's a particular instrumental dub re-mix of Teardrop that I love and have played almost as much as the original (probably sacrilege, but then Massive Attack put it out along with various other re-mixes). It shows the music has a really strong pull all of its own, I suppose. Hugh Laurie is well known here for his comedy partnership with Stephen Fry - they made a fabulous 'Jeeves and Wooster' in an adaptation of the PG Wodehouse stories. Great musician, too.
@MyBlueElephant I know - it's very odd what a huge effect it has on so many different sorts of people. The list of bands who've covered it is pretty long, too - I didn't realise until trying to check something about the original video just now.
Remember seeing the original singing fetus video when this first came out and videos were still shown on TV. This song (along with Hugh Laurie) is what got me interested in "House".
@sirswithin When I watched it a couple of weeks ago , I didn't see the baby sing. When I came to put it on here, all I could find were singing babies!! I'm still confused by this :-) The baby is a brilliant piece of work, singing or not...(Elizabeth Frazer was adamant it had nothing to do with abortion, as claimed by certain groups.) I don't know if House was available on terrestrial TV in the UK? Might find it on DVD...I miss seeing videos, YT not the same :(

One of the best ever. And it was Dr. House's theme song. Loved it.

The original video is something quite special. One of my all-time favourite songs.

@lucathequietone Do you mean Hugh Laurie? I've never seen that...I thought you meant some deeply cool DJ. Then again, perhaps you do!

@Olimite Yes, I tried to post that but it wouldn't let me, very sadly. Unless the original did have a singing baby??
