A mystery..did they break up? Last post of FB was in 2011, nothing on the web about them other than the wikipedia blip. ..One hopes they didn't and they are just quietly planning a new album?!?
@christineb I don't know. Think their website would still be there, and the Twitter account. This was the wrong track to pick, because they were very musical, did a lot of interesting stuff, had some interesting followers..musical people usually start something else if they break up. They sound like Arcade Fire, but started before them. Really odd.
@lukegodber Thanks - although I think the listen to like ratio might perhaps hint at where they went, even if it was strangely sudden! I think a lot of their stuff is great :)
@lukegodber Was it this you downloaded? My favourite is the 'Forward March' album. I put this up because it's shot in the place where I lived until recently . It mostly looked a good deal sunnier than that :)
Some nice views of Gosport over the other side of Portsmouth Harbour there! I enjoyed trying to work out exactly where they were in Southsea at any given point during the video. At one point, they were just round the corner from the flat I lived in up until the age of two (plenty of baths in the sink in those days...). Hope they remembered to leave their mobiles and wallets somewhere safe when they ran in to the sea :-/
@AlicejustMay They played with the orchestra in Portsmouth as one of their projects. It occurred to me that they might have started off playing classical music - there is one really beautiful instrumental from their first album that was lifted whole and used in an Icelandic film. Perhaps they ran away from pop and went back to the orchestra.@lucathequietone I like it. It tends to be either political, depressive or both. A strong belief that the world is not what it should be.
@Rocklobster If you followed the route that she took in order to get to him it would look very odd indeed! First of all she's walking down the pier, then she's tearing through the rose garden of all places and that seems to bring her out near the bandstand green...Meanwhile, he walks towards Clarence Pier, away from Clarence Pier and manages the impossible task of walking back from Old Portsmouth towards Clarence Pier (looking none the better for being exposed to water with that complexion)...
@Rocklobster ...and before they so sweetly brush hands on the dog poo and plastic bottle side of the pier, one of they walks up Villiers Road away from the spot, while he walks up what is probably Castle road, or at a pinch, Suffolk Road...It was obviously pretty warm with a filter over the camera and whoever decided to make them all run down not much beach had been watching some rubbish films... Actually, though, I really *do* like that song...I've just listened to it 3x sorting that out...
