Nowadays we just chuck 'em ...I keep on seeing dead ones everywhere....like roadkill. I suppose it's a sign of the times ...nowadays we don't fix anything...just chuck it!
@philipnareike yeah whats all that about philly , i got em flying down my road, at the top of my rd is ''smiths'' they still fix up ya brol, and ya shooting stick, i like fixing things , chucking it is boring,,,,,i might rescue a few , morph them into one great love brolly for the masses
@kingofmen Thing's just aren't made to last these days...one giant heavyweight multi-coloured brolly for everyone to huddle under sounds good....when will the rain stop?
@kingofmen@philipnareike@kemiladashdot These days I doubt many Heart Surgeons also have an Umbrella Fixing service on the side. Back in Sammy's day it was probably quite common - like the barber pulling teeth.
