I've listened to the Talking Heads version literally hundreds of times, but was surprised that I had never heard this one before.
With the 30th anniversary of Stop Making Sense this month, I'm reminded that few if any artists were as better at finding the spiritual in secular music than the Staple Singers, as in this Talking Heads cover.
RIP Cleotha Staples, a sad excuse to re-post one of my favourite covers ever.
