I saw this performance on TV when it was first broadcast. It was glorious. The thing that was hard to figure was the change in Dylan's voice. It was broadcast when Nashville Skyline was just released, if I recall correctly. That LP with its country themes and laid back singing - and the deeper timbre of Dylan's voice -pissed off a lot of fans. All the same, this was a terrific and achingly moving duet, appreciated even by a little twerp like me. Certain musical movements intertwine with the DNA.
