The Cure's 17 Seconds was the first album I ever bought, purchased on the back of me buying this single. At the time I wasn't sure if I really liked it - but I played it regardless on the basis that it was for a time my one and only long player. Of course now it is considered to be a bit of a classic of that time. Whilst not charting in the way that Love Cats did, A Forest was played frequently by John Peel and is allegedly their most often played live song - and rightly so since its a much better song (Love Cats was the end of my relationship with the band...). Plain Sleeve, released on Fiction Records in April 1980. #1980#bedroomvinyl#14 1
