2013

bowbrick’s first jam of 2013 was “Lush Life” by Billy Strayhorn, and the jams kept coming; 4 in total. bowbrick found a rare one: “A Hundred Years from Today” by Jack Teagarden. bowbrick’s 2013 came to a close with “Tula Ndivile” by The Manhattan Brothers with Miriam Makeba.

2012

bowbrick’s year started strong with “Bach's Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 - Var. 8” by Glenn Gould, and there was more to come; 53 jams in all. Lots of funk, classical, and post-punk. bowbrick posted a rare gem: “Funky Sound (Tear The Roof Off)” by The Sequence. “Dream Baby Dream” by Suicide got a lot of love. In August, bowbrick posted their 50th jam. 2012 drew to a close with “Happy” by William Bell.

2011

In December, bowbrick joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “And Here We Test Our Powers Of Observation” by The Bad Plus. Nice. It was a year of avant garde, chillout, and classical. bowbrick was first to pick “Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On” by Jerry Lee Lewis, in December — 15 others followed suit! bowbrick’s 2011 came to a close with “John Cage - Piano concerto” by David Tudor.
