#morrisonhotel is this great album right before L.A. Woman. I'm not saying it's better than L.A. Woman, - Morrison's last album - but it's arguably as good as. I love to show off some of the band's lesser-known songs, because as much as "The End" is brilliant and iconic, it's not news. "Maggie M'Gill" is indicative of how awesome the band is when it focuses on blues rock.

Just watched Feast of Friends, a puzzling documentary by the Doors, about the Doors. Adds to the mythos and mystique of the band itself quite well.

A different kind of sound for The Doors on this track. Very bluesy, gritty, just like their pictures in front of a halfway house. The recording almost feels like it was recorded there too.   1
