I know there are many more albums in the Will Oldham discography, many of them brilliant and deserving of recognition here, but it is time to move on to a new artist; and what better way to close the book than with a track from his most perfect album. I chose this song because the bridge section near the end of the song showcases Oldham's vocals belting out a spine-tingling, orgiastic giddiness unlike anything I have ever heard - a celebration of love drenched in an austere and hopeless yearning
@Axol soo glad you're taking an interest in bpb...i see a darkness is #9 on my BEA all-time greatest album chart. it takes a lot of time and effort to consistently update these music sites but it's all worth it when people come to appreciate great art like this!

Great jam, great description. Love the fragility in his voice at the start, like a decoy for what's in reserve.

Have not listened carefully to BPB so far. This is terrific - very strong engaging music. Just got a hold of the album on your recommendation. Thanks.
