As most Mats fans know, as brilliant a band as they were, you never knew which version was going to show up to a live concert. The Murder at the Maxwell bootleg captures the band at their finest -- tight and energized and inspired. Highly recommended for even casual fans -- if you can get your hands on a copy.
Just learned yesterday that the reconstituted Replacements will be appearing at a fest I'm going to (Shaky Knees in Atlanta). I've got a lot of excitement mixed with slight trepidation for their set.

Saw them this past summer at Riot Fest and they were really great. Love these guys.
