I don't like Duranduran but I like this!
whoa, this track is awesome.
I have to thank @frogbath for his introduction of this jam to me.
The single best DD track.
They sure had it.
They did. I used to think twin shadow / bears in heaven et al were biting off of roxy music, now I know it was this
bought the song immediately yesterday. can’t believe i hadn’t known it before, but even more thankful i do know it now.
@flaneur did i already mention that i *love* thisismyjam?
Fantastic deep album cut from DD - channeling Berlin era Bowie and early Human League. Much more avant garde than the vast bulk of their pop tracks.
Very nice! Found an early version on Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/track/2b9dtitx6a1Fn2Zwwx1lVn
one of the greatest album closers, for sure.
This has been up for two days without me realising. Ctrl + Alt +Delete my life.
THE DRONING ENGINE THROBS IN TIME WITH YOUR BEATING HEARRRRT. Yeah, England in the eighties was a bit austere and bedroomy.
I recently saw a friend of mine do this at karaoke, backed up by the original video; she did all the dance moves perfectly. It was amazing.
Ah, their finest hour. I remember playing this the first time I got a girl back to my bedroom, thinking it would persuade her I had hidden depths and sensitivity. Sadly, my clumsy fumbling spoke louder than Nick Rhodes' mournful synth lines ever could.
LOVE THE CHAUFFEUR STORIES MORE PLEASE
in my memory this song is in a higher bpm. great tune though.
yeah @solveigo the low bass and everything feels like it plods and could be sped up, but i love the speed of it. i assume there are dozens of half hearted covers by thrash metal groups, but i can't be bothered to be disappointed now
