









The year got going with “It's Magic” by Cymande. 36 more jams followed it! It was a year of underground hip hop, funk, and soul. They were the first, and only, to post “Short Eyes” by Curtis Mayfield. People really liked “Paperhouse” by Can. All things must end; bygracenotgod closed it out with “Extreme Wealth and Casual Cruelty” by Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

The year got going with “There Was A Time” by Dee Felice Trio, and the jams kept coming; 44 in total. Plenty of jazz, rap, and hip hop. bygracenotgod did some crate-digging too, and found “Summer (The First Time)” by Millie Jackson. People really liked “Can It Be All So Simple” by Wu-Tang Clan. bygracenotgod crossed 100 jams in January! “Everything That Lives Laments” by Keith Jarrett feat Charlie Haden closed out the year.

bygracenotgod’s first jam of 2013 was “The Love You Love” by The Walkmen. bygracenotgod found their eternal jam in February — “(Fallin' Like) Dominoes” by Donald Byrd. It was a year of De La Soul, jazz, and funk. They were the first, and only, to post “Manzanita” by Bobby Hutcherson. People really liked “Up The Junction” by Squeeze. bygracenotgod posted their 75th jam in October! 2013 drew to a close with “Stakes Is High” by De La Soul.

In May, bygracenotgod joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “The Rain” by Eddie Gale. Nice. Lots of rap, hip hop, and funk. They were the first, and only, to post “Freedom Day” by Max Roach Quartet w/ Abbey Lincoln. “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads got a lot of love. bygracenotgod reached 20 jams in September. 2012 drew to a close with “End To End Burners” by Company Flow.
