@canterjessica Yes, Jessica the physical resemblance is there. That's where the comparisons end, though. (Well, the drugs, too, I guess...) Mr. Maia was a much more well-rounded talent, and he had a nice long career (if not as long as we would have liked). Baby Huey was 'just' a singer, and only recorded a few 45's and one album, I think. But what an album! I mean, when Baby Huey sings, the band play like *demons* behind him...it's just...a special record.
@cagoldes oh yes, I meant physical resemblance! Tim Maia was part of many musical movements, a huge discography, he had time and oportunity to develop his talent to it's full! But still, they both got great, greeeat rhythm!
