You say that about your radio show as if it's nothing special!! What about the late great Frank Muir. One of his self-deprecating two-line jokes has always stuck with me:
"I've just been to the South of France to finish my latest book.
I'm a very slow reader..."
Beat that for self-deprecating. You can't!! :)
Love this. That vibe is exactly what made me fall in love with one of my favorite bands of all time, The Refreshments (now known as Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers).
Love Texas. Played a bit while travelling last week, then thought "Must choose a Glasgow band for my Scottish friends". There are some old favourites like Simple Minds and Mark Knopfler, but I like Franz Ferdinand and The Fratellis. You are spoiled for choice in putting together a play list. Does your station podcast your program?
@itskerryc Hi Kerry. Thanks for the comments. Yes, there's plenty of good stuff from home to choose from...coincidentally, I played a couple of Simple Minds tracks last week too. Although South Korea is technologically 'fast' place, the radio station's website appears to be from 1987 or thereabouts...I can actually access the program files myself and I podcast them on my own. http://seoulmusic.podomatic.com/entry/2014-11-28T00_17_16-08_00

@itskerryc I'm a few weeks behind but it won't take long to catch up. This week's show is a belter! Cheers!

Haven't listened to Texas in a long while, nice pick!

They come from the greatest place on Earth, Glasgow. My hometown is always cheery (apart from a Friday Night) and we all love Texas, or so it seems.

@Vickipedia Cheers :)
