That is a great quote. I've heard a few songs by XTC and knew they were new wave, but that's about as much as I could tell you. I hadn't heard this one before, but I love it. The vocal reminds me a little of Tears For Fears in a good way. But yeah, great song. And I suspect I'm going to facepalm hard when you tell me, but who's DM? It's first thing in the morning, I'm still super tired and my mind keeps coming up with Dave Matthews, which I'm sure is way off and is usually called DMB anyway...
Oh. My. God. *bigtime facepalm* I DID know that and I'm quite familiar with DM referring to Depeche Mode. I don't think even lack of sleep is an excuse for that haha. I DO sleep, but I have a lot of trouble fitting in everything I want to do and I don't have the most reliable self discipline, so I often end up staying up an hour or two later than I intend to. Luckily, I have a job that keeps physically active at work and I'm on my feet most of the day, so I don't have to struggle to stay awake.
